I received Rod's Ponders today in the mail. These thoughts are truly something to ponder! They also did a lot to bring a smile and a chuckle to the face of this old soldier. If you have a distribution list for Rod's Ponders, I would be happy if you would include me thereon. In any event, thanks for thinking of me and thanks for bringing a laugh in an otherwise tough day.

True Story - Ponders helped grow a two-man electrical contractor into one with over $100 million in Sales - and it was the only marketing they did.

PonderPearls development was inspired by Rod Weckworth who used branded weekly mailers of wit and wisdom to build a small electrical contractor into nearly a $100 million per year business.

As a co-owner in a small electrical contracting business, Rod Weckworth started putting ponders or reflections of the day on team member's desks as a way to enhance company morale. He then had the idea to send "Rod's Ponders" to current and potential customers. The response was great. Some of his customers liked their mailers so much that they asked Rod whether they could mail "ponders" to their customers.

Rod and Helena (his wife who managed the mailings) discovered that sending Ponders was an excellent relationship and business building tool. The little electrical contracting company grew in size from several hundred thousand to over $100 million in gross sales per year. Today it is one of the largest of its kind in the US. Ponders have been sent to and appreciated by company presidents, US Presidents and Generals. During Operation Desert Storm General Norman Schwartzkopf liked his ponders so much that he had them read over the radio to servicemen and women.

After 25 years, Rod retired from his business. Ponders were also placed in retirement. Several years later, Rod decided to compile his reflections into a book named "Ponders, Proverbs and Principles". While working on the design of the book's cover we ( Alex and Tania von Allmen) asked Rod whether we could send Ponders to our customers. Thus the service was reborn and updated to take advantage of a number of new technologies. As Rod says "Ponders are Like Potatoes" - they can be prepared in a variety of forms.

Our philosophy is that in business and in life "relationships are everything." We are excited to offer these premier relationship building tools. Enhance your life and business by enhancing the lives of others.
